I wanted to answer another question that I get asked a lot: What supplements am I taking and how has my diet changed while breastfeeding?
As for supplements, I take things to make sure I am giving Little A the healthiest milk possible. I take a Prenatal, Vitamin D, B12, Iron, Calcium, DHA + EPA, Probiotics (this is an RX strength one that I get from my GI doctor). I also add Chlorella, Wheatgrass Powder, Sunwarrior Protein, Maca Powder, Green Dream Powder and E3Live to my smoothies (not daily, I usually play around with combos and different ones each day. Some days I won't add any). As you can see, I am a fan of Vitamin Code's Raw Vitamins. I find that Amazon has the best prices for them. I also spend as much time outside in the sun WITHOUT sunblock on to make sure I am getting enough Vitamin D. Low Vitamin D is an issue with Crohn's. I let Little A go without sunblock for about 10-15 min, then I use this sunblock on her (which is mostly at the pool, if we are in the yard, I don't bother). In order to get Vitamin D, you need to have direct sunlight on bare skin. Here is an article on the subject, I would say that states mostly what I follow.
As for my diet, I would say that since I have had Little A, I eat healthier. Not that I ever ate badly, but I cleaned up my diet and got rid of most processed foods like pasta, gluten free breads, frozen meals, vegan ice creams, etc. I also eat more raw then before I was pregnant. I find that since I've been breastfeeding, I crave healthier foods and don't want to put anything bad into my body. I am not sure if it's in my head, or body knows that I am nourishing her. I also think about the fact that what I eat, she is eating, so it's only the best for us! I eat salads at LEAST once a day now and most of my diet is raw. My calories are more then before too. To make sure my milk supply is supple, I started adding things like nut butters, Sunwarrior Protein and coconut oil to my smoothies, I'll eat a whole avocado a day, I add olives to my salads, I have caloric raw bars or nuts and seeds for snacks.
I hope that helps! Let me know if there are any questions!
Speaking of Little A, this was her breakfast earlier this week: all organic: half a banana, Chlorella Tablets and Oatmeal with Raisins, Blueberries, Goji Berries and Almond Butter.
We spent a few hours at the park with my Bestie-Sister-in-law and her pup, Bella. We walked around the whole park which was 4 miles!
Little A liked looking at the ducks and saying "Quack-Quack!"
Bella got a little tired, but no worries! Little A was happy to share her stroller with her!
After that we played and played and played! Oh the things we do as parents! ;)
My new favorite bar is Raw Revolution's Chocolate Crave! I bought a box on Amazon! YUMMY!
I also tried out Lydia's Raw Cereal for the first time..
I had some on top of an Acai Bowl along with Banana, Goji Berries and Local Bee Pollen. So good!!!!
Finally, here is a video update of our garden! ENJOY!

Neil and I are trying to eat more raw this August- we are actually going to to the Crazy Sexy 21-Day Cleanse.
I just bought that b-12 you take and I decided to go with a prenatal DHA with EPA
Thanks for the list of your supplements! I take some of those too! I also take Juice Plus because I never get enough fruits and veggies in my day. Props to the vitamin D thing too. I can really notice a difference when I get my daily dosage of that!
Your garden is making me feel a bit cooler with all that greenery. hee hee. I have my son use Badger sunscreen too.
