Summer Fun List: Children's Museum and Sun in Bloom!

Hey Friends! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Ours was very eventful (as usual). We made a "Summer Fun List" and we've been checking things off left and right! :) This Summer has been one of the best yet! I have been feeling really good, eating all raw till dinner, then dinner is usually high raw. I am also still doing enemas.

On Friday night, I made a "high raw" dinner: raw Kale with Avocado and diced Red Peppers topped with cooked Broccolini, Red Quinoa and Lima Beans. YUM!!!! I am a BIG fan of Lima Beans. I need to eat them more often. Mmmm!
For dessert: Raw Vegan Ice Cream (Organic Nectars) topped with Jem Almond Butter! Wow, this was amazing!
On Saturday, the temperature was over 100 degrees so we brought Little A to the New Jersey Children's Museum. Here she is with T!
And with me outside of a Tee Pee! This was the best picture I could get, she wanted to look everywhere but at the camera (as usual!).
I wouldn't say the place was the nicest, definitely need an update, but we had fun.
On Sunday, we hopped in the car and drove to Brooklyn (about 40 min away) for lunch at Sun in Bloom. I have been wanting to go here for the longest time and it was on our "Summer Fun List!"
I ordered a Watermelon Juice (of course!). SO REFRESHING!
For Little A we ordered a Hummus Plate. SHE LOVES HUMMUS! If she sees one of us eating hummus, she takes the container and starts eating right from it with her hands! She is so funny! Sorry for the blurry pic, T was cutting her veggies up and obviously, she couldn't wait to dig in! She loved it. And so did T and I! We ate her lettuce. ;) The hummus had a Indian spice flavor to it, she loves anything with curry, cumin, turmeric. Probably because I ate it so much while pregnant! ;)
For my meal I ordered the Live Bloom Burger on a collard wrap and a side of Shiitake Bacon. OH MY GOSH! This was delicious!! I love that they use a piece of nori wrapped around the collard, gave it a nice salty kick. And the Shiitake Bacon was delicious! So much better then real bacon or tempeh bacon! I must recreate!!!! T had a BLT made with it and he really liked it too.
We took dessert to go. I got myself a gluten free, vegan, nut free cookie sandwich. This was outstanding!!! I must admit though, I haven't had a "non-raw" dessert in awhile and this gave me a slight headache and felt a little rich in my stomach. But totally worth every bite!! ;)
I brought home a slice of raw vegan Blueberry Cheesecake to have after dinner. Again, nothing but HEAVENLY! I use to love blueberry pie (muffins, bagels, cake), so this hit the spot!
I also was lucky enough to meet the owner, Amy. She was so delightful and so was the rest of the staff. I really want to go back again soon!! I wish there was a Sun in Bloom in JERSEY!!!

Little A had a blast as well. She came home and napped with Ginger. She has the life!
While that was happening, I enjoyed a nice wine glass of Kombucha with lemon. Mmm.. Sunday!
Have a blissful day everyone! I will be back on Wednesday with a GIVEAWAY!

Oh the kombucha with lemon sounds really refreshing! Good idea. The water melon juice does too.
Sun in Bloom is pretty close to me here but I have yet to go - nice to see a good review! I'll have to check it out.

The picture of Ginger and baby A is adorable! Ginger looks like "Mama, the other baby is on me again!"

Baby A and hummus, that's cute. I think I like what you had at Sun in Bloom better than what I tried. An excuse to go again!
