Life Musings and a Giveaway!

Hello Sunbeams! I hope you are all having a lovely week. :) Thanks for all the nice comments on my last post. I've always posted musings from my life, but I decided to change the description on my header to: "A Journey to Heal with a High Raw Diet and Beauty Filled Days". Instead of just focusing on healing with food, I am going to focus on the other stuff I am doing. Mostly, filling my soul with happy times! :) Not a big change, but I will post more family life stuff as well. What do you think?

Anyway, first, food.. This was a smoothie I shared with Little A: Honeydew blended with ice and lemon. Delicious! And you can see little Sueshe napping in the background! ;)  I was recently asked to post measurements for my smoothies, but the truth is, I usually just throw things in. Basically a scoop of Sunwarrior Protein, one or two frozen bananas, maybe some other fruits, a big handful of spinach and whatever superfoods I have on hand. That's my basic breakfast smoothie.

I made Little A "ice pops" again, this time I used (all organic): blueberries, strawberries, banana, water, chlorella, wheatgrass powder, flaxseed, Philosophie's Green Dream. I pack whatever I can in there since she doesn't taste it (not that she minds anyway, this girl takes down chlorella tablets like it's her job!). Again, I didn't measure, just put equal parts each.
This was a lunch I had one day: kale chips with Bubbies Pickles and Live Kimchi.
Loving the organic Summer fruits! White Peaches and Plums!
I'm OBSESSED with JEM nut butter!!! This was a snack I had with Little A: a banana with JEM Red Maca Almond Butter on top.
Now onto other things.. Our garden is in full bloom! I've been enjoying fresh picked cucumbers daily. Tomatoes are next!
Some flowers in my yard.
Little A loves Melissa and Doug wood puzzles! We just got her this alphabet one.
We've been spending time at the pool club. This is the baby area. So cool, right? ;)
We also took her to the Trailside Center this week..
We enjoyed looking at the turtles and other cool exhibits.
This was a wall made of different crystals! Love this!
T and Little A looking for birds!
After that we enjoyed a little hike..
Little A running and enjoying nature!
And finally, some Bumble Bees on wild flowers along the trail.
Now onto my latest giveaway!!! I am giving away 2 copies of Hilary Greenleaf's E-book:

The New Food Raw Diet: Going Raw The Fun and Easy Way.

To enter, just leave a comment letting me know what you'd like to see more (or less) of on the blog.

For another entry, Tweet or Facebook this giveaway.

That's all!

I'll announce the winner a week from today (July 18, 2012).

Good luck!

What great looking food. And your adventure...looks very fun. I'm wondering if you've ever tried Tu Zen. It's a probiotic for people with bowel disease. It REALLY helps me. Also, I have Crohn's and I'm wondering how you manage to digest all the uncooked veggies?? I seem to have to cook mine or else I have issues. Feel free to stop by my blog

I always love your smoothie concoctions! I'd be happy to see more of those, along with more main-dish salad recipes. Thanks!

More recipes would be lovely. I always love to learn new healthy recipes from people. Also more on what little A eats. Its interesting learning of how to raise a vegan child. I hope to instill a sense of healthy eating in my children whenever i get around to having them haha.

I like reading about the family outings and all the great places to eat in the area! I come home to NJ a few times a year and am always looking for new places to try! Fitness and beauty posts are always fun! I would also like to see more gardening posts (I am a novice and would love to see some advice from someone who has been more successful!)
