EXPLOSION POST for the 4th!

Happy 4th of July to my fellow friends in the United States! This post is so jam-packed, that I chose to call it an EXPLOSION post in honor of the 4th! ;)

I'll start with a dinner I had one night this week: a big salad with organic greens from the Farmer's Market, Bubbies Pickles, avocado, caramelized onions (courtesy of T) and a Hilary's Veggie Burger.

I have been hearing so many good things about JEM raw nut butters, that I finally gave in and ordered some from Amazon, I also ordered 3 of their raw chocolate bars. Can I just say.. WOW!!! This is the best nut butter I have ever had! It's sooooo silky and I got the Cinnamon Red Maca flavor which reminds me of the icing on a cinnamon bun!!! SOOOOO GOOOOOOOD!!! The chocolate is great too (but Sacred is still my favorite).
Earlier this week, my Bestie-Sis-in-law, Little A, her pup Bella and I went to the park for a walk and to play! ;) We got there early hoping it wouldn't be too hot (which I why I left Ginger and Sueshe home), but the heat was already blazing! We did enjoy a short walk and lots of play.
We also spotted a few turtles getting some sun. So sweet!
After that, it was off to the shore for an afternoon swim at my Mother-in-law's house. I brought Little A this plate of food: cucumbers, spirulina crackers, blueberries, raisins, dried fig and avocado. All organic! :)
T picked him and I up some salads to enjoy on the ride down. Mine was mixed greens, radishes, artichoke hearts, chickpeas and mushrooms.
That night I made a "high raw" dinner of raw kale, avocado, cooked broccolini, sweet potato and millet. YUM!
Some organic cucs from our garden!
I made another batch of Kristen's Raw Vegan Yogurt. This was a parfait that Little A and I shared. It had strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, goji berries and raisins in it.
Another easy lunch: kale chips, avocado and raw kraut.
Little A and I love this Golden Cashew Raw Revoluution Bar!
Another "high raw" dinner: homemade falafel (wasn't crazy about them, I will post a recipe when I tweak them) with garden cucs, carrots, celery and hummus.
We eat watermelon at least 3 times a week! ;)
Another yummy dinner: kale salad with raw kraut, raw green slaw, avocado, cucs and capers.
Sueshe isn't a fan of the heat..
Little A walking Ginger.. or is it the other way around?
Have a wonderful 4th of July! Stay safe! :)

I love fresh grown cucumbers! Yum! So much better than what you can buy in the stores! We didn't grow any cucumbers this year but we do have tomatoes growing.

Spirlina crackers - I have never seen such a thing! I am trying to find a good source of spirulina, as I want to add it into my diet. Any suggestions? Supplement or powder?

Is it strange that I want to eat the same plates as Baby A? She gets the best food from her healthy Mommy ;)

Jam-packed, indeed!

Awww, that sweet little Sueshe! <3

Chef AJ recommends eating 2 pounds of greens every day. Just one pound is a struggle for me, but I think you've got the greens DOWN, girl!

The salad combos look so good. Do you have a recipe for the raw krout posted anywhere? Thanks in advance :-)

Hey Red: I like Healthforce brand for spirulina. The cracker I get for Little A are by the company "Go Raw".

Hi Lena: I haven't made my own kraut, I buy a brand called Real Pickles from Whole Foods, :)

Happy 4th!
