3rd and 4th of July Festivities!

Hey Firecrackers! I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July! We started celebrating on the 3rd with my sister's annual 3rd of July party.
T, Little A and I having a good time!
I made a raw fruit tart from the book Going Raw. Always a hit! ;)
I also made cucumbers with cashew cheese and dill. I used a recipe from Kristen's book Raw Awakening, and added the dill for color. These turned out great! People didn't even know they were raw OR vegan!
My sis lives with her fiancee and his family (they have a mother/daughter house). Her view, yard, property is amazing! Here are so beautiful wild flowers.
Their dock with the flag waving! :)
A little beach.. ;)
And this was my plate of food: salad, quinoa salad (my sister's recipe, I will ask her to post on her blog), grilled veggies, bean salad (my Mom's recipe) and corn on the cob. Everything was organic and of course, vegan.
On the 4th of July, we had my Bestie-Sis-in-law and Bro-in-law over for a little BBQ.  I put out raw veggies and hummus..
My Bestie brought this lentil salad she picked up at the market. It was vegan and really good!
I also made some more cashew cheese cucs.
This was my plate of appetizers: guacamole, cashew cheese cucs, raw crudites and hummus and lentil salad.
For dinner I made a big salad..
And T handled the grill. I had 2 Hilary's Veggie Burgers topped with guacamole, a baked potato, grilled eggplant and asparagus and salad. We were all very full! :)
After that we headed to the fireworks. This was our view..
Took this picture looking up!
More scenery..
I wish I had some pictures of the fireworks, but as soon as they started, Little A started screaming. So we left! I wasn't going to let her be scared!!! Hopefully next year she will enjoy it more. I hope you all have a great weekend!

WOW! Your 3rd/4th celebrations looked and sounded DELICIOUS! I know first hand how that tart tastes...LOVE Judita's book Going Raw. Such great recipes and so easy to follow. Your tart is beautiful! Can't go wrong with Kristen's raw cashew cheese! :-) The cuke apps are a must try! Love to see how creative you are with your eats!!! All of your scenery and food pics are great. I bet Little A was the "sparkler" of the festivities! ;-)
