No Heat, But We EAT!

Hey All! Thanks for all the Happy New Year wishes! I had a few comments about the cookies. I am sorry to say, these were not from scratch! LOL! I used an organic gluten free boxed mix, a flax egg and coconut oil in place of butter, then added my own cacao chips. This was the first time that a boxed cookie came out good.

Anyway, while I was on my little "No Heat Vacation", I spent a lot of time at my favorite health food store: Deans. They have so many great raw products! I grabbed lunch one day to take with me to my mother's house. These were Live Nori Rolls made from Live Jolly Foods. Baby A and I shared these, she doesn't chew well enough to eat the seaweed, so I gave her pieces from the middle, she loved them and so did I!
We also shared a large organic fruit salad! Baby A doesn't like Kiwi, but she loves blueberries and strawberries!
And the last part of our lunch (which we actually had before anything else), was a green juice: spinach, kale and apple. Baby A drank almost half of it! She didn't want to share! Hmph!
I also picked up some Go Raw Ginger Snaps. Yum!
On New Years Day, I made black eyed peas with kale (Whole Foods was out of organic collards).  This meal is suppose to bring prosperity in The New Year! We will see..
Finally, another Blue Print drink from my Whole Foods: gold pineapple, apple and mint. For some reason they didn't have any green juices, but this was just as delicious! Of course Baby A had a few sips as well.
Have wonderful Wednesday!

Happy New Year to you too!

Hubby and I picked up a bag of those raw sprouted cookies, except I picked out the chocolate kind! I didn't care for them, but my husband did :) That's usually how it works with us!

Gotta love a little lady who drinks green juices and smoothies. Takes after her mommy :-)

Hope you get heat soon.

I really enjoy Go Raw's Carrot Cake cookies and the Lemon ones. Those two are my favorite snacks I continously go to when I crave something sweet.

You always have the most wonderful food. Those nori rolls look amazing.

I can't get over how little baby A loves vegan eating! It goes to show that a plant-based diet is healthy for all ages :)

Love the title. But glad the heat's back.

I am curious what is in the middle of the nori, looks like tempeh a little.

Baby A sure can down those green drinks!

Hey Bitt, not sure what it was. Def not tempeh since they were raw. Sunflower seeds and some veg, jicama maybe.I will have to post next time I see them.

Baby A looks so beautiful and healthy! She's getting big.The fruit salad looks great; it's been a while since I've had a nice big bowl of various fresh fruits. I've also seen those ginger snaps around, they call to me every time.

Babies love green juice! Good girl! I shared my kale and satsuma juice with Caleb the other day and had to fight for some. tee hee! But actually, I'm glad he loves it and he can have as much as he wants. I just love it too.

And kiwi? Pass those to Caleb! He will snarf those. Loves the blueberries and strawberries too.

I'll have to try the ginger cookies next time. We always pick up the spirulina ones for Caleb. I could make my own but these are right by the cash register...
