All Planted

Hey Love Bugs! I hope you had an amazing weekend! :) Before I get into that, I wanted to give you an update on P90x. Today we start phase 3, which means only 33 days left! I really am enjoying it, and I've lost weight and inches. After we finish, we are going to start Insanity. Anyone do it? How did you like it? Results?

Onto the weekend.. T, Baby A and I went for a little trip to pick up the lettuces and kale for our garden. We wanted to plant organic trans-plants, which aren't easy to find (at least not in NJ). We found a place online that wasn't a retail shop, instead you order ahead of time and pick them up. We will be going there for now on! Before we picked up our veggies, we stopped at a health food store/deli, that we love to visit when we are in town. I had a big salad with falafel and hummus. This was so good!!
I also picked up a Blueberry Muffin LaraBar. This was my first time having this flavor, and while I was impressed with the flavor, I wasn't impressed with the ingredients. For some reason it had fruit juice concentrate in it. To me, that just shouts "SUGAR!".
When we got home, we hung out outside while T planted. I helped where I could, but I was busy with Baby A and this one..
The weather was so beautiful! It was so nice to sit outside. Baby A has a new organic sun hat, you like?
We got 4 different varieties of organic lettuces and organic red leaf kale.
Yum, mesclun! I can't wait to enjoy some in a few weeks (the lady said, the mesclun will be ready then!). Lettuces are fine in frost and cold weather, we will be planting our other goodies in May.
All set! Lettuces, kale and radishes are all planted in organic mushroom compost!
After all that work, I made a nice hearty meal of Pasta Fagioli (with gluten free pasta). Recipe here!
On Sunday, we had some errands to run (GINGER IS TURNING 5 TOMORROW!). When we got home, I whipped up Bitt's Adzuki Burgers! They came out really delicious! I had one topped with some hummus over a kale salad of red kale, Bubbies, avocado and radishes. Thanks Bitt! I am so glad I have leftovers for my salads this week! ;)
Have a great day all!!!

I haven't seen P90X but I will say Turbo Fire is a kick butt program...very hard!! Chalene Extreme is a weight lifting program to build muscle and strength...also a great program!!!

Yummeeessss! We got some lettuce starts this weekend too. We still need to plant them.

Bitt's burgers (and Gena's) are on my to-make soon list (ever growing list). I love veggie burgers so I can't wait to try them all.

Have to say I don't care for Larabars much. Every once in a while I get one but it's so sad they were bought out. It's just not the same. ;(

Aw, love lil bambina! So adorable in her new sun hat. Future gardener???

And happy birthday (soon) to Ms. Ginger!

Glad you liked the burgers! It's nice when someone else confirms that they like something I've come up ith out of nowhere.

little baby A is so cute. she looks so serious there.

I think the Purebar blueberry bars are much better. Fruit juice concentrate probably is sugar. No good.

Love baby A's hat!!

So jealous of all your planting, I wish I had more space to do my own! Maybe one day ;) We did the Insanity and loved it, we were pleased with our results.

I just had the blueberry Larabar and liked it, I loved the little blueberries in there. Falafel sounds so good and hummus too.
We loved Bitt's adzuki burgers too, the pics are waiting to be blogged about...so busy lately.

I was bummed when I recommended Lara Bars to my grandma, only to read the ingredients on the one she picked out and find sugar. It was one with chocolate chips, so I guess that's why, but I hate to think I recommended someone a bar with sugar. :-/

Baby A's hat is adorable! She's so stylish! :)

I can't wait to see more of your garden! .. and Baby A is just getting cuter and cuter by the day.. how is that even possible?

Baby A is too cute in all that pink!

Your garden is looking fabulous already. We're going to use some organic mushroom compost that we saw at one of the nurseries out here. It's hard to find a non-animal compost.

Good to hear about your update with P90x... we are going to be starting it soon.

Oh I'm so disappointed with LaraBars now. Ever since they sold to General Mills (or whoever it is) they have been going downhill. What a bummer. :(

I can't wait to read about your garden bounty. I love baby A's hat. She is such a cutie.

I did Insanity last summer. It's fantastic. Shaun T isn't bad to look at either. :)
