Salads and The Girls

Hey Everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend, boo for less sleep but YAY for more sunlight! ;) I know a lot of you have been curious about P90x and we are on day 36 today! Doing great and losing the rest of my baby weight! T does his workout in the morning before work and I usually do mine when Baby A goes down for a nap around 11pm. But on Saturday we do our workout together, which is always hilarious. Last week we had to do yoga and T told me his favorite pose is corpse! :D He makes me laugh! I have to say I can't wait for him to put some recessed lighting in our basement so we can workout down there!!! But for now we do it in our living room, no space, lots of light and Ginger watching us like we have lost our minds! Ha HA!

Anyway, onto food, last week I made my normal lunch salad with mesclun and a Sunshine Burger along with some hummus. Hummus in a salad? What an easy concept! Why didn't I do this earlier! So yummy!
For dinner one night I made a kale salad with millet, white beans and sun dried tomatoes. This is my favorite high raw meal! We have this almost weekly now.
Another lunch: Kale salad with Bubbies, sprouted sunflower seeds, black olives and hummus.
On Saturday we went to visit our parents. We grabbed lunch at the health food store and I had a yummy kale salad with raw red peppers and hemp seeds.
We had dinner at my Mother in laws house. She made a big salad with kale lots of goodies in it.
And some asparagus and brown rice. Simple and delicious. Perfect!
Here is a picture of me with Baby A. You can really see how much she DOESN'T look like me in the picture! LOL! I am so sick of people saying she looks like T! UGH! HA HA! It's like, alright already, I KNOW!!!! My girl Kristen (of Kristen's Raw) taught me something good to say "She looks like him but acts like ME!" Which is very true. She has the cutest little attitude and some little things like how she sleeps or her ears and mouth, ALL ME! ;)
And finally a picture of Ginger with my Mother in law's pug: Sue She. Don't you like the spelling on her name? So cute!
Have a nice day all!

Who cares who she looks like - she's just ADORABLE!!!! Most people say YS2 looks like hubby but there are days or looks that are all me. Love the pic of you two!

Food looks great as always!

I think you and your daughter look alike-- same pretty eyes!

Ha ha Sue She looks all miffed at Ginger for stomping on her bed.

They say the first one looks like their dads, have you heard that? I was thinking I knew a lot of situations where that is true.

I love hummus in a salad. probably better than most bottled dressings.

exactly boo for less sleep,, but yay for more sunshine! I love it already being lighter longer in the evenings and I've been listening to the birds singing in the mornings, spring is coming =)
I would imagine people get tired of hearing the same comments about their children and who they look like, I do try not to do that. Love the pic of you two beautiful girls!...and all the green salads, yumm.

Looking good girl. I guess that P90X is working. At the moment, I'm doing Tracy Anderson's program. It really helps tone up any post pregnancy problem areas.

My hubby and I used to work out together, but that was before the kids. Now, I get up extra early to workout before I wake them. He lifts in the basement while I make dinner in the evening. Enjoy your workout time together while it lasts.

Your salads look yummy as usual. Love hummus in salad.

Your little lady is growing up so fast. I can see some resemblance. Maybe you need to have another one so both you and your hubby can have little clones (that's what my hubby calls our kids. Ha ha).

Not sure who's cuter - Baby A or Ginger - lol!

You peeps are making me feel lazy over this whole P90X bandwagon. Need to exercise. TTC coming next month and I am a complete sloth...

I'm hoping you meant you work out at 11am, not 11pm. I suppose 11pm might work for you, but I'd have trouble keeping my eyes open, much less working out, much less doing p90x!! :)

I've never tried millet. It's sitting in my pantry, patiently waiting for me to give it a go. How do you cook it?

Lauren said...

Lol! Yes! AM! Shows you how tired I am! Hehe! The millet you just cook it dry in a pan till it gets toasty, then add water, boil and then simmer, just like rice. Takes 20min or so to cook. :)
