There is a new burger in town..

Hello Sweethearts! I hope you all had a nice Valentine's Day! I will post my Valentine's Day stuff on Friday! For now, there is a new veggie burger in town...Little Green Burgers! I found these at Whole Foods last week. They had a few different flavors, this one was the Indian flavor and is gluten free, soy free and vegan--perfect! You all know how much I love curry! He he! These burgers don't hold together as well as Sunshine burgers, but they are large and thin, so they cook fast.
Check out those ingredients, nothing yucky in here!
I crumbled mine over some romaine (of course) with sun dried tomatoes, carrots and avocado.
Another yummy find: "It's Alive" Raw Sprouted Seeds: Thai Curry and Garlic Spice.
More from "It's Alive": Dill Garlic Raw Sprouted Crackers..
And Green Smoothie Crackers.. I enjoyed these in the car while nursing Baby A! We were at the Health Food Store and she wanted to eat, so did I! ;)
I also had raw vegan egg salad! YUMMMMMM! I wasn't a fan of regular egg salad, but this was delicious! I spread some of it on the raw crackers. So good! We had a little picnic in the back seat (of course we weren't driving!!! Had to add that disclaimer!).
Before that I downed a green juice while shopping: cucumber, celery, kale, romaine and apple.
Later on we went to my Mother in law's for dinner. We had a big salad..
And an artichoke stuffed with quinoa (she just steam it with some cooked quinoa and garlic stuffed inside) and broccoli rabe. I get asked a lot about broccoli rabe. This is one of my favorite vegetables. Growing up in an Italian family, we would have it cooked in lots of garlic and olive oil along side a nice loaf of Semolina bread. Now a days I cook it with a little less oil, but a ton of garlic and drizzle lemon on top. It can be very bitter, so not many people like it. I would suggest ordering it at a restaurant, they usually get it perfect. Just make sure they don't use butter.
My Mother in law and I made chocolate covered strawberries! We melted down a few Theo Bars and dipped organic strawberries. Amazing!
And finally, on Sunday we had lunch at Whole Foods after grocery shopping. I made a big salad of kale, carrots, daikon, cucumbers, olives, shredded zucchini.
Have a great day!

O.k. - so this burger thing just makes me depressed about the fact that we can't get 'poop' in Thailand! Lol! Looks good crumbled up like that!

I'll have to check out that burger. I just heart sunshine burgers so much so I'm a little reluctant. In fact, it's what I have for dinner last night. Mmm! And hey those strawberries sure look tasty.

i envy your ability to eat so much broccoli rabe and garlic...growing up in italian family i ate pretty much the same way you did and broccoli rabe in garlic is one of my absolute favs...but doesn't it upset your tum now?? if i eat garlic i can taste it for like a whole day afterwards! even when i eat kale it gives me a stomach ache and i feel all bloated and uncomfortable! so unfair! lol

Burger looks great, glad you found another way to get more curry into your salad! ;) I LOVE curry too. You find so many raw prepared foods, that's awesome!

Another pre-made burger to have on hand. I love it! I'll have to check our W.F. when I go back into S.B.

All of your raw crackers look so good.

You are so lucky to have a mother-in-law like you do.

I love that the burgers don't have garlic so Chris can eat them. But maybe just an east coast thing? I'll keep an eye out for them.

Love that you had the picnic in the car. We often take a lot of medical trip with our son and have a picnic in the car. Not as healthy as yours though. I have to remember you for the next trip and plan better.:) It all looks great.
