My Birthday Celebration

Hey Sweetie Pies! I hope you all had a fantastic week! As promised, here is my very long birthday post! We started celebrating on Monday night because on my actual birthday (Tuesday, February 1st) we were due for another storm! So we headed to my parents house and they watched Baby A (everything went fine, she did cry a little, then fell asleep. We were only gone for a little over an hour). Anyway, we went to Good Karma Cafe for a vegan feast!

I started off with a "Live Lemonade"- Lemon, Ginger and Apple over ice. Really refreshing and the ginger was perfectly warming.
I ordered a big salad to start with: Live Green Salad- Dark leafy greens, crunchy vegetables, sunflower and hemp seeds and tossed in a live apple cider vinegar dressing. I was super excited when the salad arrived and it was a kale salad! Totally yummy!
For my entree I ordered Live Pizza- House made raw crackers topped with sun dried tomato marinara, cashew nut cheese, marinated dark greens and shredded zucchini. Topped off with walnut sprinkle cheese. These were so good, very filling though. I brought one to my Mom and she liked them too!
For the ride home we grabbed some cookies and a slice of cake for my actual birthday (that's coming later).  This was a raw peanut butter cacao chip cookie! I felt it could of been sweeter, but it had a great texture and peanut buttery flavor.
On my actual birthday, I woke up to an ice storm! I knew I would be inside for the day, but I made the best of it. I made myself a delicious pudding style smoothie: avocado, Sunwarrior chocolate protein, banana, spinach and almond milk.
T gave me my gifts, Baby A got me this gorgeous angel. I just adore it!
And T hooked me up with a ton of goodies from One Lucky Duck: an almond cherry bar, 2 fig cookies (taste like "Fig Newtons!") and chocolate chip cookies. Everything is raw, and realllllly yummy! I LOVE THE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES!!!
And of course some raw vegan chocolate truffles.
A new t-shirt (so soft and it's organic too!).
After that I made myself a birthday shot: ginger, lemon, cayenne and curry powder. That's the kind of shot I take on my birthday! He he!
And no birthday would be complete without a martini! :) Alcohol free of course! ;) Celery, Orange, Romaine, Lemon.
For lunch, I made myself a hummus plate: cooked hummus, Brad's Raw Crackers, Celery and Carrots.
My birthday cards from Ginger and Baby A and one from T!
Time to indulge.. one fig cookie.. I am in love!!!
And a chocolate chip cookie..
Onto dinner (yes, I had 2 cookies before dinner!). We ordered dinner from our favorite Italian restaurant. They offer gluten free pasta! Score! This had mushrooms, eggplant, tomatoes and asparagus. So good!
And a side of my favorite: broccoli rabe with garlic
My two angels celebrating my birthday!
I pulled this card from my Magical Mermaids and Dolphins Oracle Cards: Have Faith: "Your prayers are manifesting. Remain positive, and follow your guidance!" Perfect birthday message!
And finally, T and I shared this monstrous slice of vegan chocolate ganache cake that we brought home from Good Karma Cafe. T had to eat most of it, I was pretty stuffed!!!
So that was my birthday celebration! While I am following the Crazy Sexy Diet cleanse, I am following it loosely. LOL! I already eat the CSD way, so a little birthday indulgence was okay! ;)

Looks like you had an awesome day! I was on a cleanse for my birthday this past June -- I was on day 10, and still managed to stick to it, with some treats :) Treats help us to be balanced!
