Is there a new drink in town??

Hey Sunshine! I hope you all had an amazing weekend! Before the weekend began I made myself this yummy high raw lunch: raw crackers topped with hummus, avocado, sprouts and olives. I sprinkled curry powder on top (of course!).
For dinner one night, T brought home soup from Hale and Hearty Soups. This was Spinach White Bean. So good!! I love that they have vegan soups, I find a lot of places use chicken broth! YUCK!!!
Here are my sprouts!!!! They are almost ready! The ones I had growing on the bottom weren't growing so I got rid of them. Oh well.
Yummy, yummy! I can't wait to enjoy my own fresh sprouts!
For dinner one night I made a new favorite: millet with raw kale, sun dried tomatoes and cannelini beans. Another tasty high raw meal!
I was super excited when I saw my Whole Foods was now carrying KeVita. Kristen drinks these all the time, and I was intrigued because of the high probiotic content. Kinda like a new Kombucha! I believe they are considered raw. I bought 3 flavors, but I only tried the Coconut so far and it was really tasty! I'll report back on the other flavors as I try them. And yes, I know I am getting carried away with the "New ___ in town" titles..hehe!
On Saturday we spent the day at my Mother in laws house. We like to have lots of family around Baby A. My 2 brother in laws and my future sister in law (my bestie) were there too. Good times! :) For dinner we had broccoli rabe and a huge salad. I went back for seconds! ;)
Sunday we went grocery shopping at Whole Foods and had lunch. I made myself a salad with lots of raw kale, guacamole, olives, quinoa and chickpea salad and black beans.
The weather this weekend was pretty nice. We took Baby A and Ginger for a nice walk on Sunday. We always enjoy the fresh air and vitamin D!! I hope it gets warm soon!!! We can't wait for Spring!!

i'm gonna have to check out the new drink! i'm headed to whole foods this wednesday (i go about once a year - even though it's just 35 minutes away, if i go too often i spend to much money. ahahahaa!) and will have to grab a KeVita if they have them. yay! hooray for lots of sunshine for your family this weekend, Lauren! it was warmer yesterday and we took julie down to the river and played out on the big rocks. so much fun! i'm hoping it's spring soon as well. loving all the green in your post - and rock on with those adorable sprouts! :D

I have had trouble with sprout growers before. The bottom layers seem to not work as well. But some people can figure it out.

I don't care for coconut keifer but I'd like to try that drink...if it ever makes it to the west coast.

sprouts are so exciting!!

i've seen that kevita and wondered about it. it's hard to think about cheating on kombucha (i had the cranberry kind today) but it'd be fun to have something different.

Isn't the Kevita addicting? I love it!

Hope all is well with your blood work. I am loving the look of the spouts. I like your container. The jar thing get's messy for me. I will have to look for that drink.

So much wonderful food, as usual :) I love the cracker-sandwiches - what a great idea, especially for snacking!

Thanks for sharing the new drink with us. My son and I will have to try it.
Everytime I see olives on your salad I just giggle (: This is because my husband always teases me when I eat olives but I think you just may eat them more than I do.

Your pictures are making me drool. :-) I guess it doesn't help that it's lunch time here and I'm hungry! Anywho! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the KeVita drink. I will have to try it! I just harvested a batch of alfalfa sprouts that will go deliciously on my freshly dehydrated flax crackers ... yours look so yummy. Have a great day!

Yummy! I'm hungry now. I was already but now even more! I need to make some raw crackers so I can put hummus and other goodies on them too. Those look super good right now!

Ohhh I have not tried the coconut drink before, I bet it is very yummy! I also have never grown my own sprouts, but that looks like it would be so nice to have that around. I want to take a bite out of your hummus crackers, they look divine!
