Salads, Cider and Sushi, Oh my!

Hey All! I wanted to make a point to let you all know ahead of time that I will NOT be sharing my birth story. I am going to write it out in Starshine's baby book, but I don't feel like I want to post it on here. Although I do love reading and appreciate other people posting their story, I just felt like this is something I want to keep private and between me and my family. I know you all understand! :)

I had a few meals from the weekend I didn't post, so that's what I bring you today! :)

On Saturday, T and I went to our favorite Italian restaurant for lunch. I have been (finally) craving salads again, so I ordered this salad of romaine, grilled onions, artichoke hearts, red quinoa, tomatoes and roasted peppers. This was really filling and so delicious! I love when restaurants don't skimp on their salads.
For dinner I made Gena's recipe again. This is T's new favorite dish, he asks for it every week. This time I used white beans instead of kidney. This was so filling and delicious.
On Sunday we headed to the Farmer's Market. Only 2 weeks left! We bought some unpasteurized apple cider. This was really good, I just wish it was warm! Sunday was really chilly!!
After the Farmer's Market we headed to a salad place in town for some lunch. This is more of a "make your own" type of salad place. I got romaine, mushrooms, broccoli, lentils, shredded vegetables and olives.
For dinner we ordered sushi. I got a vegetable dragon roll, which was asparagus and cucumber inside rice and topped with avocado and 2 avocado rolls. Mmm, the avocado was super fresh and this hit the spot!
Enjoy your day everyone!

That salad looks PERFECT!! I love giant hearty salads like that.

I'm sure everyone will understand that you won't be sharing your birth story! That's something so personal, and I can't say that I'd want mine on the internet, either. :)

There are some wonderful cool weather salads I see at some of the local restaurants. They use local ingredients like the dark greens, butternut squash, cranberries, different nuts, figs all yummy stuff with a wonderful vinagrette. That salad from the italian restaraunt looks so delicious.

I completely get the not sharing your birth story with everyone. You don't want just anyone to hear about your special day. That's just something intimate to keep with you and your family. Oh I'm just so happy for you!

I totally respect your choice to keep your birth story private. It's such an intimate time and I'm glad you are doing what makes you feel comfortable. That is so important with birth I think.

That sushi looks so good.

At first I thought--wait pregnant ladies can't eat sushi. Then I realized it didn't have raw fish. All the more reason to eat vegan.

Totally understand not sharing the birth story. I am more interested in the actual baby when the come out. The birth is just a means to an end. Of course, I hope it all goes well for you.

Glad you are still getting out and about a bit.

We get pictures and a name, right? As long as we get pictures and a name, I'm cool :D

That apple cider sounds delicious.

I think that is totally fine about you not wanting to share your story. Do what is best for you, do not worry about everyone else!! We will all still love you no matter what! :) HUGS

That first salad looks awesome! If that restaurant were close to me, I'd probably be there once a week ;)
Totally understand wanting to keep your birthing story to yourselves.

All the food looks amazing .. especially the sushi!

I totally understand not wanting to broadcast your birth story :). And it's great that you're planning out all those details ahead of time.

yum, those salads (and sushi) look good. And I think you know already that I'm with you on the birth story. Mine is very personal so I ain't sharing publicly! But I do love reading others'. Looks like you're doing very well in the pantry dept. You'll be set for awhile after Starshine arrives. :)
