Cranberry Kick and a Smoothie Recipe

Happy November Everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend and Halloween! I had a doctors appointment last Friday and according to my doctor, my baby can come at any time! :) I am going back on Wednesday, so I will have more info then. But I am full term and everything is going smoothly! Yippy!

Anyway, I was super excited to see organic grapefruit at Whole Foods over the weekend. I couldn't wait to enjoy one, but unfortunately, they are mealy and soft inside. Yuck! I was so disappointed!
I picked up some Cranberry Apple Butter at Trader Joes last week! Completely vegan, with minimum ingredients, this spread is sweet and tart. I just love cranberry anything!
There are many ways you can enjoy the spread. I came up with a super delicious way! I added it to a smoothie! This smoothie was like Peanut Butter and Jelly! Soooo good! I am so happy I am not getting nauseous from smoothies anymore, I can even enjoy green ones again!

Starshine PB & J Smoothie
Add half a bag of cranberries (I use frozen organic), one frozen banana, 1 tablespoon of peanut butter (or almond butter), 2 tablespoons of Cranberry Apple Butter (or if you can't get this at Trader Joes, you can use unsweetened cranberry juice in place of water, if you are going this route, I suggest sweetening with some Stevia), lastly add one cup (or so) of water. Blend and enjoy!!! PB & J in a glass!!

I guess I am on a cranberry kick, this smoothie was frozen organic cranberries, banana, Sunwarrior protein, almond milk and Maca powder.
Have a great day everyone!

You made it! Your baby will be born this month! Hooray!

I always love a new smoothie recipe. I'm sorry to hear, though, that you had some trouble with smoothies earlier on! I'm glad that's passed for you!

Stay well!

I commend you for sticking out with raw smoothies. Im slowly eating more and more cooked because of the temperature and have to make a conscious effort to eat raw. Apple Butter is so amazing, and cranberries?! so festive!
