I pulled this card yesterday (from Magical Messages from the Fairies): Express Your Individuality: Allow Your True Self To Shine Because You Are Awesome!
Just a little pick-me-up on your Wednesday! :)
Over the weekend I made a delicious meal inspired by Gena. I actually meant to make the exact meal she did, BUT, I forgot the beans at the store (D'oh, pregnancy brain!). So instead of rice and beans, I used potatoes. I WILL make it the right way next week because I am loving Field Roast! Thanks for turning me onto it, Gena! I am not a faux meat fan AT ALL, but these don't have any crappy ingredients and they are super tasty. They do contain gluten, but they are soy free. Plus, they have 25 grams of protein!
I also made a delicious vegetable and rice soup last week. This had carrots, celery, potatoes, brown rice, chickpeas and vegetable broth. I always add kombu and soy-free miso. Perfect cooler weather meal. Everyone always asks if I use cookbooks for my meals, but the truth is, I usually just wing it, and sometimes I get ideas (or recipes) from other bloggers.
And finally, my favorite snack this week: a dark chocolate Theo Bar. I always put my chocolate in the freezer and I grab a little piece whenever I want some. One bar usually lasts a week or two.
Finally, here I am at almost 35 weeks! I am pretty sure the baby has dropped because I am feeling her a lot lower and my ribs don't hurt at all anymore. She's almost ready!!!
Have a wonderful day all!

Wow, can't believe you're so close! So exciting!
I'd been curious about Field Roast for some time then got more curious after Gena's post, now with yours I just might have to break down and buy some. :) Faux meat always scares me.
And mmm...Theo chocolate! So good! And made here in Seattle - bonus! :)
Love the card you pulled too - great message.
Never heard of that chocolate before - hmm, gotta try it.
Ok, I have to admit I was browsing through blogs by clicking the "next blog" button and I have to say that your dog is ADORABLE. SO ADORABLE. I let out the loudest "AWWW" when I saw that picture. :)

Yep, 35 weeks is about when the wee ones turn and start getting themselves ready! She's right on schedule!
That soup looks delicious! It's certainly soup weather - that's one thing I do like about Fall (I'm more of a Summer girl!).
Have fun resting up!
How exciting, the little one is almost here. Love the baby belly :)
We have never been fans of faux meat either.

I can totally relate to going to the store for stuff and forgetting the main thing you went in for. I did it again yesterday, and I'm not even pregnant ;)
Theo is a local fave.
1-2 weeks for a bar? I'm lucky if it lasts 1-2 hours!
What a beautiful belly! So happy for you! Love Doreen Virtue decks... I have the Goddess one and the Messages from Angels one :)
YAY! Glad you had a great meal, and that you enjoyed field roast! That stuff is totally amazing.
Field Roast rocks! Yum for chocolate too!
Love the belly picture! I can't wait for her!
