Prayer Request
Monday, Monday!
I hope you all had a great weekend. The weather was pretty funky here, but of course, hot! We did a few interesting things. But yesterday my bestie (my future sister in law) found out her Dad is pretty sick. I normally don't put personal things like this on my blog, but I thought she could use the prayers and healing vibes. Please keep them in your heart.
Anyway, before we went to my brother in law's graduation on Friday, T picked me up these 2 treats from Starbucks! Two Moms in The Raw Bars! Whooo! :) I had one then and I will probably enjoy the other one during the week. They are very tasty!
He also brought me home this cute little butterfly pad. I love anything with butterflies on it and he saw it at the car wash (lol, random, I know) and bought it for me! What a sweet hubby! I think he was trying to make me feel better about being seen in public since I am so big now! HA HA! I haven't been complaining, but I know I am large..I'm enjoying my pregnancy! Maybe because I'm small in general the weight is just loving coming on, because I am eating better then ever! I seem to be one of those mommies that gains it all over, not just in the tummy. For the first time in my life I'm not worried about calories and food! I'm eating healthy and if that involves weight gain, so be it! He thinks I'm beautiful no matter what! Besides, I WILL lose it after the baby comes. That's not even an issue! ;) Hello, raw/vegan food? Ultimate weight loss tool without even trying! No stress about it, I will worry about eating right for breastfeeding and hopefully the weight will melt off.
On Saturday, T and I went to Whole Foods for groceries and lunch. I filled my plate with lots of raw kale with avocado and red cabbage (it's under the beans too) then topped it off with black beans, white beans, chickpeas, hummus and olives, I also sprinkled some nutritional yeast on top! YUM!
When we went to the graduation I was lucky enough to be able to make a pit stop at my favorite health food store. I picked up a Righteously Raw Bar in Goji (they were out of the caramel! Boo!).
And some delicious ranch flavored kale chips by Kale in a Krunch.
These are so delicious!!! They taste just like ranch chips, but of course BETTER! Look at that chip!
I also had a special treat this weekend. My Whole Foods had Amy's Roasted Vegetable Pizza in Gluten Free! The ingredients are very minimal and there isn't anything artificial or unpronounceable about it! This is a new product and they only had the small version, so I made a kale salad on the side! So delicious!!
Lastly, I was interviewed on the site HealthMiracles.net, check it out here! Have a great day everyone! I will probably post another review tomorrow so come back for that! XO

my thoughts and prayers are with your bestie and her family...
love your nail coulour!!!!
i went to a bridal show where the theme was butterflies...my cousin loves butterflies too...and the colour purple...so everything was purple and butterflies...
and i am sure you look fabulous, and maybe because you are so small you think you look big, but when others look at you, they don't see much of a difference, except for a belly!
=)
So sorry to hear about your friend's dad ... sending thoughts and prayers ...
Yes, the weight will come off after you have the baby, especially with being raw!
I love that nail color, too :)
I'll be praying for your bestie and her dad!
I'm so happy to hear you are healthy and loving the process of being preggers!! My bestie lost most of it super fast...the breast feeding works like a charm:)
What a sweet hubby you have...cute note pads and raw bars:)
whole foods salad bar = YUM!!!
i'm sure you look great, and just feel big because, hello, there's a baby in you!=)
i'll keep your friend and her father in my prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Sending prayers over now.
Two Mom's is the best raw snack out there! I love that the cinnamon is so strong.
That baby girl is getting the best food to grow big and strong! ;-)
prayers for your friend's dad. thank you for asking for them.
i am sure you feel bigger than you look. i have heard and seen that some women just "pop" at a certain point, so maybe that is happening to you! well enjoy it!
baby made of kale chippies. i love the idea. ;-)
oh gosh, yes we will keep your future sister in law's dad in our prayers.
I hope you are doing okay?
And no worries about gaining weight! You are a beautiful mother ; ) But yes raw/vegan helps...one reason I can eat dessert everyday!!!!
I love butterflies too. Actually they are symbolical for my grandmother, because when she passed away we saw a beautiful butterfly right outside her window. I hold anything butterflies close to my heart.

you just keep do'n what you've gotta do to be healthy and feed your little one so much awesomeness, Lauren. don't even worry about the weight gain, girlie!
many thoughts are positive vibes are making their way to your future sister-in-law and her father. please keep us posted - i hope he's well soon.
you are rock'n out the raw yummies, Lauren - and hooray for Amy's roasted veggie pizza - i didn't know they have the roasted veggie one in g-f. i've seen the soy cheeze g-f one - now i've gotta see if i can find the roasted veggie one. yum!
I also gained all over with pregnancies. No cute little basketball belly for me. Oh no, I enjoyed a great big watermelon belly and it was noticeable all over... in my face, arms, etc. I wasn't raw or vegan, but lost the weight breastfeeding for 13 months. Now that I eat even better people can't believe I have two kids. I did enjoy the fullness of the pregnant and postpartum body, so I'm glad you are too. It's beautiful!
So sorry to hear the news, thoughts and prayers with you all. x
love the butterfly gift, so sweet!
High five for pregnancy weight gain! It makes me so mad when women limit their diet to be slim when pregnant to the detriment of their unborn baby. Health of the baby or skinny pregnant mummy? I know what I'd rather be. Sorry, rant over. You should post some pregnancy pics. I bet you've got the pregnancy glow :) x
I think you should post belly pictures of every trimester :) Just a thought! <3
