A Food Filled-Jam Packed Weekend
Hey Everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and Mother's Day! I had a jam packed weekend so I have a ton of picture. I'll get right to it! :)
On Saturday morning I woke up and made a big smoothie: "Reunited and it feels so goooood.." Whole Young Thai Coconut with half it's water (I drank the rest of the water as soon as T cracked it opened), cranberries, raspberries, banana, Sunwarrior Protein, DHA, Almond Milk, Dates and Hemp Seeds. So creamy and delicious!
T and I took a trip to a nearby garden center.. this place is the mecca of garden centers! I loved this statue on the pond.
This place was HUGE! They had every tree, plant, bush, herb, vegetable you could imagine!
I really wanted this statue.. but at $150, it wasn't happening! :)
Afterward, we hit up a juice bar nearby and I had a grapefruit, lemon, orange juice. Perfectly bitter. I loved it!
On Sunday, we went to the shore to see our families for Mother's Day. We also got to hit up my favorite health food store (more on that later). I grabbed this green juice for pre-pizza snack: kale, apples, spinach, lemon.
Onto the pizza... T and his brothers made the most amazing pizza! T was in charge of making it (with the help of his side-kick, my 15 year old brother in law) and to the right is my other brother in law (he is younger then T by two years, we are the same age). He was in charge of the oven and cooking the pizza. Look at all that Daiya!
Love the aprons, right? The three of them were very serious with there pizza making. They made a variety: vegan with Daiya for the ladies (my mother in law and future sis in law are both vegan) they had whole wheat, I had gluten free. And for the guys: Semolina with cheese, we also had various toppings to choose from.
Here is the gluten free, Daiya pizza with broccoli rabe, extra garlic and a touch of tomato sauce. This was my favorite! Geez, I can't even look at it, I am totally craving more now! :)
We also visited my family. Who all claim I am having a girl. Quick story: I am VERY intuitive, so is my mom, so much that the rest of our family calls us "witches"--well, the other night I had a dream that we had a baby girl. T told me her name and I agreed, yes that is her name. When I woke up, I said to myself, I don't like that name at all, what the heck? Well, while looking up baby names over the weekend, I came across the name from my dream. The name actually means the name that I like!!!!! The name I like is a word too, so the meaning of the dream name was that word. Too creepy (if you could follow that story at all, ha ha, sorry I don't want to share the name just yet). Also, T and I bought or moms both a fig tree, which we bought late last week. Over the weekend my sister texted me to ask if I bought mom a fig tree, because she was asking her for one. I had no idea, she never even mentioned it to me. I just thought it was a good idea since we have one. :)
Anyway, Sheri has these lovely Beatrix Potter plates that I had growing up. I called my mom last week after seeing Sheri's recent post and told her to bring me them because I want them for my kids. Aren't they beautiful? We only used them for special occasions, my kids will be able to use them whenever they want!
Lastly, all the goodies I picked up at the health foods store: my favorite raw crackers: Livin Spoonful (Pumpkin Pesto is my favorite, but they were all out, so Sunny Garden Herb it is!), Go Raw Pizza Flax Snax, Kaia Foods Raw Sunflower Seeds: Teriyaki, Kaia Foods Raw Cereal: Dates and Spices, A Righteously Raw Caramel Chocolate Bar (these are my favorite!), Kaia Foods Fruit Leather: Lime Ginger and 2 bags of Emmys Macaroons: Vanilla Ginger and Chocolate.
Have a nice day everyone! Tomorrow we see the baby doctor and the baby on 3D ultrasound! YAY!!! I can't wait to see my little booger floating around again! :)

Oh boy - what a great weekend.
I would love to hear your thoughts on Sun Warrior powder. I haven't used it but keep hearing about it. Any thoughts?
Emmy's macaroons is a company local to where I live. They are great people - how fun to see it in your pic of favorite raw foods.
And although I am raw, that pizza looked AMAZING.
Hi Daphne,
I am a big fan of Sunwarrior! I use the vanilla (the chocolate is just as yummy) and I always add a scoop to my smoothie. Being pregnant, I need the extra protein and with crohn's protein issues come up. I definitely recommend it! :)
Happy Mother's Day, mama-to-be! :) Sounds like a lovely day.
I think I had those Beatrix Potter dishes, too!! They're adorable.
pizza!!! i love pizza and daiya cheeze! AND I LOVE broccoli rabe!!!! rapini!!!
i think you're having a girl too!
i can't to hear how the appt. goes with baby doctor and hopefully you'll be able to show us a pic of your floating little booger...haha!
<3
oh and i think the fig tree was a lovely idea!
That's one serious pizza party! Brick oven outside?? Gorgeous!
Can't wait to hear the name! Such a cool story. :)
Honey, no one's as intuitive as me (that Hungarian gypsy blood, ya know) and I said from the start, I'm sensing a lil' diva growing inside of you (or at least, the spirit hanging round you). I'll let you know if that changes, but so far, it's pretty strong.
How lovely to see that you're up and off the couch! BIG weekend for you. Nap today.
The three chefs are too cute. Doesn't everyone have a brick pizza oven in their backyard? ツ
Guess who else had Beatrix Potter "dinnerware" when she was a wee one?
Love the goods from the health food store and the pizza photos!
What a wonderful weekend you had! That garden center looks amazing..the hubby would definitely not let me go alone there..lol! What a fantastic pizza feast..soo yummy!
I want your pink smoothie right now..I love how creamy it looks!
PS what a wonderful time to see the baby live..enjoy!
First off, the Ginger statue is cool but you got the real deal which is wayyy better.
Love that you had a dream and it led you to the name. I hope you enjoy the ultrasound. Seems exciting!
drooling over that pizza. love that the boys made it and made a gluten-free one. How sweet!
Great weekend you had. What a cool garden place, love the shack and pond.
I love it when the men cook for a change!
My mother-in-law and I were just talking about the subject of intuitiveness and stuff like that just yesterday. It happens all of the time with me especially with family, it's kind of weird sometimes.
That pizza looks awesome! Extra garlic is definitely the way to go! And love the oven that it was made in! I bet that made it taste great (not like it wouldn't have..)! YUM!
And your intuitive or AN intuitive...? Both is very very cool. I wish I could tap that side of myself. I think most of us loose that when we get older, or by who we are around (work, relationships, friends, etc). :)
Those smoothies, juices and pizza are all making me hungry. Looks like a wonderful weekend.
I can see why you'd want that statue. It's a perfect replica.
I guess I was wrong about it being a boy. The mom is usually right, which means you're probably having a girl. I just knew with my kids.
That dream is amazing. I wish I could figure out the name. I'll just have to wait for the announcement.
BTW, did you get two fig trees? I know this sounds crazy, but you need two to produce figs. Kinda like the whole baby thing.
What a great weekend girlie!
OMG, love the story about the dream and name. I can't wait to hear what it is! Aw, I want my first to be a girl too ;) I want to dress her in cute little pink dresses, hehehe.
Gorgeous pizza... and all those goodies are making my mouth water!
Have a great evening sweetie!
Holy cow that pizza looks amazing. So exciting being pregnant...
xo
Eco Mama
What a lovely and busy weekend - fun! And pizza, yum! How cool that there's an outdoor brick oven. Now, that would be the ultimate. I loved pizza while pregnant (homemade preferably) yay! I had Beatrix Potter sheets when I was a kid. Fun memories!
Looks like a really great weekend! Such fun! Love the baby name dream. I always go with those instincts myself. =)
