Anyway, a few weeks back, the people at Kaia Foods were kind enough to send me a whole bunch of goodies to sample! Let me start by saying, nothing is left!! :) Everything was amazing! I love this company: from there site: "Kaia Foods was founded with the belief that our health is best supported by eating an abundance of minimally processed whole foods. We sprout, mix and dehydrate our organic foods at low temperatures so that they remain 'raw.' No baking, frying, bleaching, or weird processing steps!"
- Kale Chips: 2 different flavors: Barbecue and Salt and Vinegar. I really can not decide which one I like better. They were both the perfect substitute for potato chips. I hope to see these in the store soon, because I would love to snack on them more often! I know it's east to make your own kale chips, but mine are always soggy the next day (if they even make it that long!). So these snack size bags are perfect for travel or to throw in your purse and grab when you are hungry.
- Fruit Leather: 2 different flavors: Spiced Apple and Vanilla Pear. I preferred the Vanilla Pear over the Spiced Apple. But, I found them both to be delicious, like a fruit roll up but better.
- Buckwheat Granola: Cocoa Bliss: Holy yum! This is the best chocolate flavored rawnola I've had! Mmmm!!! I love how my almond milk was all chocolaty afterward! This had a strong chocolate flavor and chunks of chocolate that reminded me of Oreos!
- Sprouted Sunflower Seeds: 2 flavors: Teriyaki and Sweet Curry: These were my favorite!! I could not resist handfuls at a time of these!!! The flavor was so strong and they were such a tasty snack! When I see these at the store, you can guarantee I am going to grab some! I was impressed with how filled the bag was too. These didn't last long, because, wow, I was impressed!
Over all, I would say the products from Kaia Foods were quality and well worth it. I love how generous they are check this out: "As part of our mission to improve quality of life through proper nutrition we invest 1% of sales in fighting hunger. We currently donate to The Hunger Project and to the United Nations World Food Program." I hope to see more of there stuff in my Whole Foods soon. For now, I will just have the memory! ;)

Awww, the heartbeat- so sweet!!
Yum, your Kaia goodies look great!
Your excitement over your pregnancy is getting me all excited for you! yipee!
Looking forward to buying and trying some of those kaia treats.
I'm so excited for you. I remember those early pregnancy days fondly. =) Enjoy every moment (even when you feel sick if you can). xoxo
I'm going to be posting my pregnancy diet regularly. So far, not much morning sickness! I'm on week 8, sometimes I'm a bit nauseous, but frankly I sometimes am regardless because of stress if I don't pay attention, so it may not even be baby related! I love these Kaia foods and will probably carry them soon!
salt and vinegar--i gotta make some like that.
soggy kale chips? yuck. you have to dehydrate them at least 12 hours and put them on 115, no lower.
if you use my friend dianne's recipes (and averie's is really similar) you will not have bad results, i promise!
i'm just catching up with all my blogs - omg! congratulations, missy! i know this has been a long time coming - congratulations!
Those Kaia foods look delicious; if only they were available in the UK.
Hope you feel better soon :)
