The secret I've been keeping for 7 weeks..

And I can't take it anymore!!! I am pregnant!!!!!!! We saw the heartbeat today, so I feel comfortable telling my friends now!!! :) Yes, I've known since March and have been pregnant since the end of February. Man, was this a hard secret to keep!! In fact, some of you know, because of questioning me or guessing and what can I say? I can not tell a lie! HA HA!
That's our little baby.. still so small, but the heart was strong and so cute, flickering away! I've been dealing with all day nausea, ALL DAY (and night, I wake up in my sleep and stand over the potty waiting..). So far, no puke. Hopefully, that doesn't happen (both my mother and grandmother never threw up, just nausea). Anyway, eating has been HARD! I am not hungry for anything, and when I don't eat I feel more sick. So if I miss a post here and there it's because I have nothing good to post! Also, I'm having trouble even looking at food blogs. Or being on the computer (the couch is my new favorite place). Sorry if I don't comment, please come say "Hi" here though! Although, surprisingly, green juice has been easy to get down! Anyway, our due date is around November 26th or 27th! Yay!!!! Thanks everyone for all the baby dust and prayers, it happened a lot faster then we expected (hello, a week after we got the okay from the doc!). All you mamas out there, please tell me what to eat!! Salads and raw veggies are not an option right now (although, FRUIT, nuts, Lara Bars, and other raw snacks have been fine). Love you all! XOXO!

Congratualtions! That is such good news and I am so happy you got the ok from the Dr and that it happened so quickly for you.

You will be a fantastic Mum! <3 xox

I've never commented on your blog, but have been a consistent reader, but I wanted to say Congrats on the pregnancy! I'm currently 39 weeks pregnant...so any day the big event will be here for my husband and I.
One thing you may want to try is avocado if you can stomach it. I found I did better with "fatty" foods during my first trimester and then was able to go back to a modified version of my normal diet once I was well in my second trimester.
Good Luck! You have so much to look forward to :-)

Oh my goodness, congratulations! How exciting for you two, and how fast.

As for things to eat... I suggest a steady stream of moon pies and mallobars. Pregnancy is the one time you get to load up on calories guilt-free, right? :)

Congrats! Thanks for sharing the good news!

Rest and relax and hopefully you'll feel a bit perkier soon.

I don't really have a lot of food ideas but I think the fact that you are doing green juice is great.

Yippee!! Congratulations to you guys! That is SO exciting! THanks for sharing and posting the pic.
Oh dear, nausea doesn't sound too good - but you are so healthy, perhaps it will be super short lived!

Heaps of love to you and baby! You're gonna be an amazing mommy!

Congratulations sweetie!! Rejoicing with you. =)

When I was pregnant fruit and something with a little salt sat well. (For the salty, maybe some lightly salted brown rice cakes?)

Congrats Lauren! So happy for you two! I remember not loving food at the beginning either...I didn't nauseous (sp?) but food was so not appealing and had to go for bland food. :(

I do remember your recent hint on twitter about something in the neighborhood water? ha ha! You're cute.

Congratulations!!! Awww I love sonograms, it gives you such an awed "miracle of life" type feeling if that makes sense.
I've been a stalker for a while but just had to come out of the shadows to say I'm so happy for you. I've been a fan for a while (especially of Ginger, I have my own adorable pug!) And you always have such a healthy balanced attitude towards eating and seem very in tune with yourself, which is helpful since I have a lot of stomach problems myself.
I know you'll make a great mommy and will be able to figure out the pregnancy thing very quickly and take good care of yourself.
I'm looking forward to hearing more about Ginger's future sibling! :)

Contratulations! What wonderful news. I am very happy for you. I had nausea during the first few weeks with both of mine. Just let your body tell you what it wants.

I inhaled fruit through both pregnancies. Whole seedless watermelons and pineapples were inhaled. For my second I could eat an entire box of cereal and milk in the middle of the night.

Just enjoy! It is going to be a wild ride. :)

congrats to you and T...

nausea sucks...maybe you could send kristen suzanne an email and ask her for her opinion, she posted about morning sickness at the beginning of her pregnancy...

i'm sure it will go away soon!!!

congrats again!

A warm hug and a huge congratulations to you! I am so excited for the both of you! You are going to do just fine!

When I was prego years ago, I was nauseated for the first trimester only. The only craving I had lasted for only like 2 weeks and if was for green olives. Other than that I wasn't very hungry either but in the later months when I would get hungery, it would suddenly hit me and I would need to eat like right then! No one wants to mess with a hungry pregnant woman!

Congratulations!!! All the best to you.

Oh geeze, I'm so behind in blog reading, I nearly missed the little diva's debut. YES, Diva. Right now, I'm feeling girlie girl energy very strongly. {Although, I could just be picking up on you and Miss Ginger, but I don't think so}

I'm glad I don't have to keep the secret anymore, cuz this one, I wanted to SCREAM to the world!

Anyway, she's lovely. Looks like a lil' bean.

Sorry your tummy's doing flip flops. Vitamin B6 soothes morning sickness, so start juicing or making smoothies with your beloved kale, spinach, collards, chard, celery, broccoli, banana.

I just saw a cool thing at my local Whole Foods yesterday – QueaseEASE. It's like the size of a small lipstick and you hold it under your nose and inhale. It had essential oils of lavender, peppermint, ginger and, spearmint. Supposed to be good for morning sickness, travel and chemotherapy. Maybe you can have Mr. T look at your local store or search online.

Kisses to lil' bean and my love bug pug! xoxoxo

Congrats! I thought so when you mentioned that book from your mother-in-law, but I decided not to ask until you made an official announcement. I know I hinted about Hayden on my blog, until I felt more comfortable about really saying it online.

I know this sounds weird, but I hope you eventually "toss your cookies," so to speak. I had terrible morning sickness the whole first trimester with both of my kids. I never threw up, but there were days when I wished I had. I just wanted that relief you get afterward. You feel a bit better for a while.

Can you believe that I couldn't stomach most raw foods at the beginning of my pregnancies? I had to cook my fruits and veggies to be able to consume them. I didn't post much about this, especially since I didn't feel like posting much at all. At least my diet got back to normal toward the end of the pregnancy. There's hope.

Anyway, I totally understand if you don't post as much either. Do what works for you, and if you have any questions, you know where to find me :-)
