Anyway, the kind people at Navitas sent me some samples this weekend. Cacao Nibs, a water bottle, Acai Powder and Organic Palm Sugar. The Cacao Nibs are sweetened. I wasn't too crazy about that, but I am sure they will come in use (right now I am cutting back on chocolate, due to the caffeine). I love the Acai Powder, I've been using it in my smoothies. As for the Palm Sugar, I haven't used this yet. I am sure I will use it when I bake, but as you can see, I barely do that! Maybe T will use it in coffee?
Lauren's Date Balls:
2 cups of dates
1 tablespoon of flax
1/4 cup coconut flakes (I used raw unsweetened)
1 teaspoon of cinnnamon
1 drop of vanilla extract (or vanilla bean)
1/2 tablespoon acai powder (optional)
Mix in food processor and roll into balls. Refrigerate for an hour or so. I also added cacao nibs on the top of a few for T.

Have a nice day!

hey we got rain too...and rain...and ummm yup more rain! my poor dog wouldn't even go outside...he hid behind me and under the little table on the deck...
on the plus side i did venture out to buy some bubbies pickles...and i am addicted...love them...so yummy and pickly! glad they're raw!
=)
Sorry about the rain but we get more than our fair share over here so thanks for taking one for team. :) Can't go wrong with staying inside watching movies and eating guac and hummus! Yum!
Rain? Oh, how I miss rain. It rarely rains in CO, at least not the pouring rain and fabulous thunder storms we used to get in Texas. =)
Wishing you sunshine this happy Monday. =)
"un-traditional dinners" (like your veggies and dips) are always my favourite kind of dinners.
who said dinners have to be an extravagant deal??
i put acai powder in my raw balls too sometimes. gotta get it in anyway you can.
sorry for the rain. i feel for you. i bet ginger hates it, huh?
I'm a fan of Navitas Naturals and have at least 3 of their products right now, including their chia, mesquite and cacao powder- though usually I get my cacao from a local company.
I might try the acai. I always feel like I have to hold back when I'm browsing these products. How many "superfoods" does one need at a time?
I also tell myself that the reason I like Nativas is likely because others whose opinions that I respect use them. I'm not sure that I can REALLY TELL the difference between brands. (Who can, really? It's all about whose opinions you trust and brand recognition.)
DST + rain is a double whammy.
I love Navitas Naturals products! Hope you enjoy!

Oh goodness those date balls sound so good!!! I've always wondered what acai powder does for you...i've tasted it before and can't say i'm a big fan. How smart you are to include it in the date balls!!
it rained on and off this weekend, too. i was not a fan. ah ha ha! sometimes a snacky dinner = the best! that reminds me that it's been a good bit since we've made hummus. mmmmmmmm! i loooove couch + movie time with dan, so awesome that you and T got to watch some flicks. hooray! and hooooooray for a rock'n date ball recipe!
We love Navitas Naturals products. We use them in our products, and yes you can bake with coconut sugar. We love it!
Hope the weather gets better!

Here we are grateful it's rain not snow. :)
I am loving your blog, keep up the good work.
The rain was a buzzkill! Thank goodness it has abated :)
The weather today and yesterday almost makes all that rain worth it! And those date balls look yummy.
