My Friday Night Date!
Hey All! I hope you had a great weekend! I am sure you are wondering who I had dinner at Candle79 with on Friday night...?
Yup! Kris Carr and some other wonderful Crazy Sexy Life ladies!! From left to right: Michelle, Corrinne, Kris, Gena and I all met up for a lovely "Editorial Staff" dinner filled with love, chatting and yummy food! Kris even convinced me to do the hot pink in my hair again. More permanent this time. She has it and it looks awesome. Maybe my next hair appointment, we will see! Anyway, these ladies are fabulous! What wonderful energy and kind sweet souls! I am still on a happy high from this night!
In less exciting news, on Saturday T and I had lunch at Whole Foods. I had a fruit salad of blueberries, strawberries and mango. I also had some guacamole with raw crackers again. This has become my favorite new lunch at Whole Foods.
Saturday night we had some friends over and I drank my usual Kombucha. But when I woke up Sunday morning I felt like I had been drinking something a lot harder! Mostly due to lack of sleep this weekend. So I brightened myself up with a green smoothie! I had ordered some Sun Warrior protein last week and added it to this smoothie along with kale, peaches, bananas, coconut milk, spirulina, green powder, chia, flax and hemp seeds. Needless to say, this perked me right up!
I kept the trend going and had a smoothie for lunch as well. This one was filled with cranberries, blueberries, banana, kale, spirulina, aloe vera juice, hemp seeds and coconut milk. Perfect!
So, 2 weeks from today I will be 26 years old. Usually, birthdays and getting older does not bother me, but for some reason being on the other side of 25 is making think! I don't feel like this is an old age at all! In fact, I will still think I am young when I am 80! I just feel like the years are going by tooooo fast! Feels like my 20's are flying and I want to cherish every second of every year! How do you feel about getting older and age?
A week from today T will be 28! Eeek! ;)

Hi Lauren, "being on the other side of 25" bothered me also (that's exactly how I worded it too). 26 was harder than 25! Twenties went by fast but 30s seemed slower. Anyway, enjoy the moment! Tina
26 was a hard year for me too! I still feel like I'm about 22, but nope...I'm 27. But don't worry. I think eventually the numbers just stop mattering.
I am craving smoothies with bananas right now! I can't have bananas as part of an elimination diet I'm doing, and I have a lot of trouble drinking my smoothies without them!
You all look radiant! It must be amazing to be with such talented and healing ladies! I'm jealous!
I think of it as time does not exist. It is an illusion. We are all in and endless state of love and energy. Worrying about time does just that... gives you something else to worry about! That we do not need! I love getting older because it means getting wiser. Each day that passes I try to learn more about myself. Last night, my dad asked me what I was doing in my room all alone. I said, "Getting to know myself through reading spiritual books." He smiled because he was the same exact way at my age. Must be fun and kind of creepy to see a little you! lol!
Hope you are feeling well! Sending so much love to you!
Your gift is on its way!!!!
hah, I know what you mean ;) I turned 26 last June, and it was so weird!
Wow, dinner with Kris Carr?! That is amazing!!!
I'll be 25 in one month, aah
AAAa...For me,26 years old are too far now!Lol! Keep enjoying your time!
Wow, what a fun date! I thought turning 30 was going to be a drag, but I found that it was just another birthday. I do think that people are as old as they feel, and taking care of your body sure help, too!
I felt the same way when when I turned 26 last month. The good news is, I've already kind of forgotten about it! Smoothies look delish, as usual.
trust me sugar, it justs gets better and better! 26 was better for me that 25 and 27 is already more amazing than 26 and I've only been here a couple months! ps. you're so lucky you can head to restaurants like that for fun dates with such amazing women. and you totally deserve to be there!
Great smoothies!
Great looking pic, it looks like you had a fabulous and fun time with the ladies. I think I would have liked to have remained in my early to mid thirties. Birthdays are always hard for me but you are only as old as you feel. You'll be fine.
My birthday is the 26th! Aquarius :). Just got back in NYC and now inspired to go to Candle ASAP. Hope you are having a happy new year! (when is it inappropriate to stop saying that phrase? haha)
I love this photo! You're all so beautiful.
so many fun birthdays coming up! yay! time does fly by as you get older - i can't believe we're halfway through january already! eek! hoooooooray for super fun times at candle 79 with kris carr & the editorial peeps. that is so awesome! i think hot pink would be awesome in your hair, Lauren! yay! your smoothies are looking awesome, too! mmmmmmmm!
What a crew of beautiful, powerful women!
Ah, 26...yes, I vaguely remember that year... Hey, time flies when you're having FUN. I want to die young, at a ripe old age! ツ
What an excellent Friday night!
I'm taking part in Gena's cleanse right now .. day 2 and I'm loving all this raw food. Your smoothies always look so great, I want to try some of your combinations.
I'm turning 27 in March, and for some reason this is the number that really has me going. I did just fine with 26, it still seems decently far away from 30, but 27 is killing me. 27 really sounds old doesn't it? At any rate, hope your birthday is lovely!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and showing your support. I love your blog and read it all the time. I have just been shy about posting comments but it is a new year and I am trying to get out of my shell.
I am so excited that you got to meet such awesome women! It looked like lots of fun. As far as worrying about age goes, it is hard not too but I, like you, just try to savor everyday!
You will be a beautiful 26! Milestones are sometimes hard it's like the thought of being closer to 30. And your twenties do seem to fly by but as Tina said your thirties are slower and WAY more fun! Question - where did you get your glass straws and are they the regular size or the smoothie size. I am looking at ordering some and just wanted to know a little about them.
Look at the beautiful warriors! You look so good with the bangs! What did you all eat at Candle 79?
Boy, I wish I could be 26! The other side of 30 is a real eye-opener! I feel like you are feeling now - it is all going by so fast! All I can say is enjoy every last minute of your 20s, because, obviously, once they are gone, they are gone!
