Gardenia Love

Happy Friday!! I have a fun weekend ahead. Tonight I am so excited because I am going to Candle79 with some really special, awesome people. You will have to wait until Monday to find out who! :)

Anyway, T brought me home a new gardenia plant this week! I had one for over a year, but when we were at my in laws, for 4 days, at Christmas, and left the heat off, the poor thing couldn't take it and died. I was so sad, but T was kind enough to surprise me with a new one! Here is Ginger checking it out..I haven't posted a picture of my co-op box is awhile. I still get one every other Thursday, I just always forget to take pictures. This one has onions, apples, mushrooms, Florida avocados, starfruit, grape tomatoes, red grapefruit, broccoli, carrots, Swiss chard, a cucumber, lettuce and bananas.
Here is the bag of greens (lettuce and Swiss chard).
I dove right and grabbed the only rip star fruit and sliced it up. This are amazing!

And finally, a picture of the lovely flower already in bloom on my gardenia.
Have a nice weekend! :)

I adore gardenia! I so wish I had one, but the weather here is too cold for them, and no one sells them anyway. Last summer I was in Texas, and a store was selling them. Since I couldn't really drive back with the big plant, I "stole" a flower and kept smelling it until it dried up. :)

The contents of your veg box look lovely. I wish I could get over to my allotment and pick some leeks and sprouts.

I don't think I have ever seen or smelled a gardenia. Looks gorgeous.

Wow you make me want to get a CSA! I've really been thinking about it but keep worrying I'd get random stuff - all of those things in there I would totally eat!

Impressed you can keep your flower alive. I've killed four cacti already.

That is a gorgeous gardenia. It looks just like a flower made out of frosting. So pretty!

Enjoy your fresh coop goods. I admit to being a little jealous. :D

Gardenias are so pretty and are so fragrant. It's one of my mom's faves too so we always had one around growing up.
