Birthdays all around!

Hey All! I hope you had a fabulous weekend!

My weekend started out Friday night when T and I took a trip out west in hopes of cutting down our own Christmas tree. There are many "cut your own" farms out there, but they were closed by the time we had got there. So instead we took a quick detour to the health food store out there that we really love.

I picked up some gluten free animal shaped pasta (for vegetable/noodle soup), Go Raw Apple Cinnamon Rawnola, Brad's Raw Chips in Cheddar flavor, some Go Raw Pizza Flax Snax (my favorite!), and two Righteously Raw Chocolate bars (maca and caramel). Those chocolate bars are going to be the death of me. Holy wow, they are to good to be true! I hide them in my fridge so I wouldn't be tempted to have a piece every time I opened it.
Saturday we went to Whole Foods for some lunch! I made a big salad of lettuce, cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, red cabbage, olives, artichoke hearts, sprouts and apple cider vinegar.
Sunday was my Father-in-Law's birthday, so we went down to visit and have dinner. We got down there early in the day and stopped at my favorite health food store for some snacks and lunch. I got a raw collard wrap. Inside was cashew "mayo", carrots, sprouts, lettuce and tomatoes. This was unbelievably filling and really tasty! I took this pic with it on my lap. Don't mind my hot pink scarf and pink tights!
Speaking of hot pink.. it was also my Mother-in-law's pug SueShe's birthday! She is 9 years old! My in laws got her when T and I first started dating. The first time I held her, she peed all over me! Ha ha! Great first impression she made, huh? Anyway, my brother in law and his fiance bought her a Snuggie! Although, I was calling it a Tightie! Ha ha!
Have a great week everyone!

That collard wrap looks great! I absolutely adore the raw "cashew cheeses and mayos." I should try to make it myself, since I purposely go to Dean's to buy raw meals made with it!

Thanks for your comment on my blog. You are so sweet, and I feel so lucky to have met you, too! It's OK to get angry sometimes, because it really sucks! It's how long it lasts and how we cope with it that matters. Love you! xoxo

Girl you are making me jealous! All those pics totally radiate fun! The food (of course) but also the cute little doggies.

I love it how you went to the health store when your original plan didn't work out :P That's basically my comfort protocol:

Can't find what you wanted in town --> go to the Health Store.

P.S. That salad is visual inspiration - I've been pretty uncreative with my salads lately

That photo of your MIL's pug in the "tightie" is too cute! And such great meals at Whole Foods and the other store--nothing like raw collard wraps!
