T had bought me a book over the weekend and I've been reading up a storm: Perfect Health by Deepak Chopra. I really enjoy his work and this book is excellent. I am so motivated to get well, off of steroids and STAY that way! Also, Bitt was kind enough to send me a copy of a book she thought I should read: Life Disrupted: Getting Real About Chronic Illness in Your Twenties and Thirties. I haven't started this yet, but it is the next book I will be reading on my healing journey. I also bought a new journal from Whole Foods, it is made from acid free sustainable forest paper. I've been journaling up a storm, which is so important for me while I am healing. Mind, body and soul, right?
P.S. I am continuing acupuncture no matter what! It has become the light in my dark journey!

So sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. You seem to have such a positive outlook, which is what will pull you through. Don't give up!
Your food looks delish and that journal is too cute!
Hope today is a better day for you.
Oh, I'm so sorry. I wish I could do something to help you feel better. I agree with PP, you do have such a positive outlook and so you're creating positive energy in your body. The food looks yummy! I love Happy Herbivore. Another puggy blogger! Anyway, get feeling better. I've been thinking about you a lot!
Keep the faith honey. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
I'm so sorry you're having trouble lately! I've been having horrible flare-ups too, but it's due to stress, and not half as bad as yours. I hope you start feeling better soon, and that your doctor visit goes well. Just remember this too shall pass...
I HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER LOVE! So sorry you have been in pain!! Acupuncture is amazing though! I'm a strong believer in Chinese medicine! (My parents get it every other week!)
Wishing you health and good vibes. I hope you start feeling healthier and stronger. Your soups look great, too btw.
Mind, Body and Soul! I hope you feel better soon, I'm glad you are taking such a complete approach and nurturing all aspects of who you are.
I looove the way your lentil and spinach soup looks. I would eat that right up!

The series is free but a person can purchase the downloads to own. I was reading your blog and would like to gift you the series if you would like. You can check out the guests at: http:series.supernutrientgal.com.

Hi Lauren,
I'm sorry to hear that you've been feeling so unwell. It sounds like you are taking such great care of yourself (as always!) and your pleasant, sunny personality still shines through :)
Sip soup, cozy up with those great reads and that adorable pup, and get well soon!

Hello,
I would say to try Dr. Elizabeth Boham at The UltraWellness Centre (Dr. Mark Hyman's office in Lenox, MA - close to Albany, NY)). It is expensive as hell, but after a slew of problems for two years and a nice collection of GPs and specialists telling me that they could find nothing wrong with me, Dr. Boham's tests revealed parasites, food allergies, candida, a bacterial infection, adrenal disorder and low magnesium! I actually had one doctor tell me that my feeling bad was all in my head! Anywho, it is expensive, but for me it was well worth the trip (I lived in Texas at the time).
i'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well, Lauren. i hope your appointment went well. keep us posted!
your soup looks wonderful & comforting, and it looks like you have some good reading - yay! i need to try that veggie loaf - it sounds so good & looks comforting, too!
happy & healthy thoughts are coming your way, my friend!
Sending positive vibes and thoughts your way!!
sorry you were that sick. how frustrating.
that hippy loaf looks really yummy.
