Thanks again for all the support and feedback on my last post. I can not express how grateful I am to have wonderful friends like all of you! HUGS!
Those of you who follow me on Twitter already know that I've started green juice fasting. I decided to give it a go again to clear my mind, heal my stomach pain, and help me get all around centered again. Last summer I did this and I lasted 4 days, this time I am not putting any pressure on myself, I am just going to go for as long as I last.
Before I made the leap into fasting I had a few great meals that I will be posting today. Here is a cucumber salad with red onion, avocado, tomato and raw kraut and a roasted sweet potato. Perfect outdoor summer meal! Ginger like to sleep a certain way when it's hot outside. It's pretty funny! She sleeps in our bed with us at night but during the day you'll catch her lounging like this. Look at that belly! No more avocados for you Ginger! ;)
Before my fast I made this juice for lunch one day. It was zucchini, cucumbers, lemon, celery romaine and an orange. Similar to some of the concoctions I've been drinking on my fast.
Another pre-fast meal was another Buddha bowl. T and I shared this one. It was millet with all raw veggies: dandelion greens, red onion, scallions, red peppers, green peppers, avocado, raw kraut, broccoli, sorrel. T enjoyed it a lot, I guess I will be making this again!
One morning for breakfast I wasn't feeling like my normal green smoothie so I had some raw raisin bread. This tasted just like the cinnamon raisin bread I ate as a child. The only problem was that I am so use to a light smoothie or juice for breakfast that this was really heavy and I felt "off" all day. No more changing it up for me!
The Weekly Gab:
Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Ginger's belly is just calling out for a raspberry. :-)
You inspire me all the time! I just wrote a blog about my utter confusion when it comes to being healthy and eating the right stuff. Your take on the subject would be appreciated!
Those green drinks look yummy but do they take some time to get used to?

and ginger is sooooo adorable!
heres to hoping you have a wonderful weekend =)
Seriously, this telepathy stuff with you and I is out of control! That plate of food - cucumber salad with red onion, avocado, tomato, raw kraut and a roasted sweet potato – was my dinner last night! Swear. [only my kraut was ruby red and I made it!]
What's that I see? Does Miss Ginger have a Hello Kitty blankey in her bed?
I had the great good fortune to see Amma (ie. the hugging saint) in Manhattan at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. She is truly the embodiment of the Divine Mother. I passed out when she hugged me. When I awoke, I found rose petals and a chocolate kiss in my clenched fist.
Have a lovely weekend!
I want to see Amma so badly! And have for a while now.
Happy weekend, cutie :)
