Hey Everyone!
I probably won't be around much until next week. I haven't been feeling great and I am going to be seeing my doctor on Monday. Tomorrow I have my brother in law's confirmation and then a nice hot weekend to follow! I will try to visit your blogs soon, but right now it's couch time catching up on my Tivo. I will probably be taking a short dose of Prednisone (BLAH), hopefully only for a few weeks, just to get back on track. Don't be disappointed in me. I just think the medication isn't working as great as it was at first. Something threw me off of my game. I think it had to do with the change in diet (80-10-10), plus I was eating more soy and gluten then usual. I do better on just regular raw foods. With Crohn's I think the fat is good for me. Plus it helps me keep weight on. But I will stay positive and prosper. Thanks for all the support!

Oh no I didn't realize you were trying that. If so I would have warned you to stay far, far, away! I like my fat too.
Oh no.. I hope you are feeling better soon!! I think you have to be careful with 80-10-10 I have done it for short periods of time myself, but I do think fat is good, especially for us young pups.
I know you are trying to do this the raw food way but when I was recovering, I didn't touch raw food aside from an occasional apple. Everythign was steamed just a little. Just helps the digestive system a little. As hard as it is- stearing clear of gluten, soy, corn and sugar are super important too.
Feel better!
YOUR THE WINNER OF THE MISO MAYO GIVEAWAY!!!! Hi Lauren can you e-mail me with your address so I can forward it on to the gal at Miso Mayo and your choice of Miso Mayo? I think you said the original.

Hey sweet pea, hope you're feeling ok today. I sure know how this goes. Rest up!
I find with my inflammation, my body does better with more cooked foods (healthy ones of course) because the raw is just too hard to digest. I know raw is supposed to be easier because of the enzymes, but I think that's only when someone is totally well on the inside first. That's just my 2 cents.
You do/eat what works for you and I know you will get better!
Sending you hugs <3
Hang in there Lauren and is anyone is "disappointed in you" for taking care of your health and body then screw them. Seriously.. You are taking huge steps in healing yourself and sometimes, you have to take traditional treatments too. I seem to be on a course where I have to give in to steroids once or twice a year... and it sucks, but you have to do what you have to do.. and it's awesome that you do so much with raw and healing foods..
The fact of the matter is while raw food/diet/herbs can help so much, they are not the cure all for everything and anyone thinks that has a pretty limited view on reality in my opinion.
*hugs*
