Happy Friday Lovelies! I am so happy we are finally going to have some warmer weather this weekend! It's suppose to be in the 70's!! You know what that means... lots of time outdoors! We will be working in the yard and spending time soaking up some vitamin D all weekend! On Thursday I started a little "cleanse." Kris Carr on CrazySexyLife.com is starting a group adventure cleanse during the month of May. I decided to get a head start and get my body clean and smiling again! My cleanse with be raw till dinner most days with a few all raw days during the week. Also, one day of juice/smoothie fasting, until dinner. I am eliminated wheat, gluten, soy, processed sugar, and bread during this time. Please bare with me, I promise I will keep my meals exciting! Wish me luck! The other day for lunch I made the most tasty juice- apple, kale, broccoli and lemon. I felt so refreshed and revitalized after this. Green Juice = LIFE!
On Wednesday night I made this tasty soup of lentils, kale, and potatoes. It turned out pretty good, although both T and I felt it needed something. I didn't follow a recipe, just took what I had and made it. Oh well!
Since yesterday was my first cleanse day, I decided to have an all raw day (with minor exceptions for condiments). For dinner I made a huge salad of romaine, olives, tomatoes, sun dried tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers and hemp seeds. For dressing I used olive oil, stone ground mustard, a little balsamic vinegar and lemon. I had just received my co-op box so the lettuce was so crisp and fresh, as if I picked it myself.
Speaking of my co-op box, I started putting everything away and then I remembered to take a picture. Opps! Sorry no picture this time!
Have a splendid weekend everyone!

Thanks for your get well wishes on my post.
I so want to participate in a cleanse! I am jealous. My body just isn't ready yet if I'm still having these bad flare ups though. I read her post on the cleanse and I am already pretty much between the level one and two somewhere.
I have noticed other bloggers doing a once weekly smoothie/juice fast. Can you tell me the purpose of this? Is it to give the digestive system a rest? Good luck with the cleanse, hope your weekend is great too!
Hey, congrats on the cleanse! I can't wait to hear all about your progress with it. And green juice IS life -- that photo is making me drool :)
Good luck with the cleanse!!
HAPPY WEEKEND TO YA!!
I think your "little cleanse" is going to give you BIG results. Bye-bye Crohn's. YES! You just wait and see. I betcha. :D
Have a lovely weekend, puttering in the yard. I plan on doing the very same thing and worship at the feet of the Sun god — oh, how I have missed you. It's been a loooong winter! Just seeing the earth come alive and everything turning GREEN makes my heart sing.
Funny post script: the word verification I just had to enter for my comment was "gluebo". I think you're going to see LOTS of GLUEBO (ie. mucoid plague) leave your system on this cleanse! :D
wahoooo for some warmer weather this weekend (it's going to be nice here, too!), Lauren - and that's awesome on getting a head start on your cleanse. i'm asking for a juicer for my birthday in may - so once i get it i'm gonna have to join you all in the cleanse, too! superw00t! your raw yummies look excellent! sorry the soup tasted like it was missing something - it looks great! if you tweak the recipe you should totally post it next time! i'd love to enjoy it, too!
hope you & T have the most super stellar weekend! :)
