We keep it simple on Friday..

On Friday nights we like to keep it simple. We usually go out to eat, or make something simple. Since I had a bunch of romaine, I made a simple salad with cucumbers and carrots (from my co-op box). On top I added olives and sun dried tomatoes (of course!). Dressed with olive oil and apple cider vinegar with some stone ground mustard. My homemade dressing! I also made a brown rice pilaf which was very tasty on the side. That was the only cooked food I had all day. The picture is a little dark but I liked it because of how the sun was coming in through the window.

For dessert, some raw ice cream I picked up at Whole Foods last weekend. I can't believe I didn't touch this for almost a whole week! I am practicing self control and I try to keep it to one cheat day, or only desserts on Friday night. Anyway, it was pistachio and it was so delicious and creamy!! Also, LOCAL!
T and I spent the night watching season one of Weeds. That show is great! :) Anyone else watch? We also like Entourage, which mostly he likes, but it's entertaining! Well, I am off to my in laws, have a nice weekend everyone!

I didn't know WF sold raw ice cream! I rarely look in the frozen case (unless it's the fruit section) so now I'm going to have to check it out. :)

the salad and pilaf look really good! i like how the light hits the plate, too. it's pretty! raw & local ice cream is twice as awesome!

and my spouse and i really like "weeds", too (we're on disc 2 of season 3 right now). while it's totally unrealistic & sometimes kinda silly - it's fun to watch and really entertaining!
